HerdStrong™ LLC, a wholly owned subsidiary of DVM Systems ® LLC, values your privacy. This information describes our policies for you regarding the collection, use and disclosure of personal data when you use our software, apps and websites and the choices you have associated with that data. HerdStrong LLC and DVM Systems LLC ("us", "we", or "our") develop, maintain and operate the HerdStrong animal monitoring system, HerdStrong TruCore™ software, HerdStrong mobile apps and the www.herdstrong.com website (the "Services"). We use your data to provide and improve the Service. By using the Service, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy. Unless otherwise defined in this Privacy Policy, terms used in this Privacy Policy have the same meanings as in our Terms and Conditions.

Definitions

Animal Data: Animal Data means data and other information about animals which can be identified from those data (or from those and other information in our possession or likely to come into our possession).

Personal Data: Personal Data means data about a living individual who can be identified from those data (or from those and other information either in our possession or likely to come into our possession).

Usage Data: Usage Data is data collected automatically, either generated by the use of the Service or from the Service infrastructure itself (for example, the duration of a page visit).

Types of Data Collected

Animal Data

HerdStrong's Animal Monitoring System, HerdStrong TruCore software, HerdStrong mobile apps and www.herdstrong.com website customer information and data, are hosted on fully secured servers in the "cloud" (hosted by Microsoft). All data is automatically backed up in separate locations by Microsoft to help prevent any loss of data. Data may also be stored on HerdStrong boluses, distributed gateways and customer's local devices using HerdStrong TruCore software or mobile app. Data can be exported by the user for storage and / or analysis, or by others, if the user has not secured the device. HerdStrong cannot guarantee against loss or breach of data by unauthorized parties but takes all reasonable steps to protect against loss or breach of data. Customers are encouraged to routinely backup their data to help prevent any loss of data. Customer information and animal data accessed via HerdStrong software can be further secured by using personal device user IDs and passwords, by not reusing passwords for multiple applications, and by frequently change their passwords. It is the responsibility of the customer and their individual users not to share user IDs and passwords. HerdStrong does not share individually identifiable information or data with anyone other than the customer without written authorization from the customer. HerdStrong may use customer information and data to continuously improve our software, algorithms and overall system functionality and may share individually unidentifiable and / or aggregated data for research, system improvement and commercial purposes.

While using our Service, we may ask you to provide us with certain personally identifiable information that can be used to contact you or identify you ("Personal Data"). Personally identifiable information may include, but is not limited to:

We may use your Personal Data to contact you with newsletters, marketing, or promotional materials and other information that may be of interest to you. You may opt out of receiving any, or all, of these communications from us by following an unsubscribe link or instructions provided in any email we send or by contacting us. We may also collect information how the Service is accessed and used ("Usage Data"). This Usage data may include information such as your computer's Internet Protocol address (e.g. IP address), browser type, browser version, the pages of our Service that you visit, the time and date of your visit, the time spent on those pages, unique device identifiers, and other diagnostic data.

Tracking Cookies Data

We may use cookies and similar tracking technologies to track the activity on our Service and may hold certain information.Cookies are files with a small amount of data, which may include an anonymous unique identifier. HerdStrong will retain your Personal Data only for as long as is necessary for the purposes set out in this Privacy Policy. HerdStrong will also retain Usage Data for internal analysis purposes. If HerdStrong is involved in a merger, acquisition or asset sale, your Personal Data may be transferred. We will provide notice before your Personal Data is transferred and becomes subject to a different Privacy Policy.

Google Analytics

Google Analytics is a web analytics service offered by Google that tracks and reports website traffic. Google uses the data collected to track and monitor the use of our Service. This data is shared with other Google services. Google may use the collected data to contextualize and personalize the ads of its own advertising network.

You can opt out of having made your activity on the Service available to Google Analytics by installing the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on. The add-on prevents the Google Analytics JavaScript (ga.js, analytics.js, and dc.js) from sharing information with Google Analytics about visits activity.
